Recent tests on obese monkeys show an 11% reduction in body weight after a few applications.
The drug works in totally different ways than other products of the genre, which try to replace or substitute the ways in which humans eat, altering the sense of appetite or metabolic levels: the action is internal and surprising. The principles of the research substance seek the blood supply that binds to the fatty tissues, and apply to these a peptide that kills the blood cells present in these tissues, absorbing the fat cells almost instantly.
It looks like science fiction.
The team first tested the drug on guinea pigs, and now on "spontaneously obese" monkeys (they are keen to make it known: gorging them by force would not have been nice): it is a not uncommon type of primate, simply lazy or eager.
Body mass index, weight and abdominal circumference have been reduced at supersonic speed: there appear to be no side effects (including changes in mood or in the lymphatic system). Nevertheless do not sing victory, gluttons! The process for human tests is still long (at least 5 years yet).
